Mr. White clearly behaves foolishly throughout the story, as he continues to ignore advice from Mayor Morris and Mrs. White about the use of the Monkey's Paw. Even when the first two times he wished upon the paw led to terrible situations, he ignored his better judgement and that of others and made a third wish.
