The acceleration of gravity on the moon is 1.6 m/s 2 and on earth it is 9.80 m/s 2. If the weight of a person on earth is 400 N, then he/she would weigh on the moon.

Respuesta :

i think it might be about 65.31 N on the moon...I've never done this before but what I did was divide 400N by 9.8 to get their mass then multiply the MASS by 1.6 to get the WEIGHT on the moon

Answer:

He/She would weigh [tex]65.30 N\\[/tex] on the moon.

Explanation:

Weight [tex]= (Mass) * (gravity)\\[/tex]

Considering weight on earth, mass of the object will be

[tex]400 = (Mass) x (9.8 \frac{m}{s^2} )\\Mass =  40.81 N\\[/tex]

Weight on earth

[tex]= 40.81 N * 1.6 \frac{m}{s^2}\\= 65.30 N\\[/tex]
