So I would change the form of the two ratios. They can also be represented as fractions.
10:21 ⇒ 10/21 = 0.48
21:93 ⇒ 21/93 = 0.23
Therefore, (since 0.48 > 0.23) the ratio 10:21 is greater
10:21 ⇒ 10/21 = 0.48
21:93 ⇒ 21/93 = 0.23
Therefore, (since 0.48 > 0.23) the ratio 10:21 is greater
10 : 21 OR 21 : 93 ?
Simply change everything into fractions.
Basically, take out the ":" and turn those into fraction symbols (/)
So, 10:21 turns into 10/21
And, 21:93 turns into 21/93
Then, turn our fractions into decimals.
To do so, we simply get a calculator (or do it by hand) and divide 10 by 21 for our first fraction (10/21)
10 ÷ 21 = 0.4761
Round this to the nearest hundredth.
0.4761 = 0.48
Then, we do the same for our second fraction (21/93)
21 ÷ 93 = 0.2258
But, we want it to only be 2 decimal points, so simply round it to the nearest hundredth value.
0.2258 = 0.23
Then, compare our two decimals.
Which is bigger...?
0.48 OR 0.23
Obviously, 0.48 is the larger number.
So, 10:21 is the larger ratio.
~Hope I helped!~
