I need help for this question in The Book Thief

Imagine the main character(s) are in the same time period, but a different location (country, city, etc). How would the elements of the new setting change the character’s thoughts, actions, and feelings? How could the plot be different and what new conflicts could arise?

if the setting changes the character has to change because not everyone is used to the same type of setting. Meaning people change if many other things changes too.
