Why did Gerrit Rietveld use lumber cut in standard sizes for his Red-Blue chair?
I'm just trying to hurry up and get done with this PLATO class.

Respuesta :

TRECA: because he hoped the chair would later be mass-produced, not hand-crafted Hoping that much of his furniture would eventually be mass-produced, Rietveld aimed for simplicity in construction. Therefore the pieces of wood that comprise the Red Blue Chair are in the standard lumber sizes readily available at the time.

 hope it helps

The correct answer on Plato is "because he hoped the chair would later be mass-produced, not hand-crafted" which is currently the second option.
