Answer: Hu Yaobang

Hu Yaobang was a high-ranking official of the People's Republic of China. Throughout the 1980s, Hu supported a series of economic and political reforms, which made him undesirable for many party leaders. Following his death in 1989, small demonstrations were organized in order to commemorate his legacy.
