Why is a dying declaration an exception to the hearsay rule?
a. Because a dying declaration is a statement against interest and believed to be the truth.
b. Because that witness had no way of acquiring knowledge about the fact or circumstances.
c. Because a person is not likely to lie about a fact if that person believes death is imminent.
d. Because a statement like that can wrongfully accuse someone even if that is not intended.

I believe C is the correct answer. A dying declaration is a statement given by a victim when he/she truly believes that he/she will die. However, a dying declaration can only be used if the victim does die from the injuries given to him/her during the crime that occurred.
