If you take more than just a sample you can accidentally change something in the results because you took to much
a sample was collected to gather information among a small group to see any shared traits/etc among the group that is repetitively seen. That sample can create a strong prediction about any other group of bluejays, so instead of collecting basically a large chunk of information from bluejays, a small group can summarize the entirety of the blue jays
