well the living environment they live in now could be bad no where to farm, not sop many jobs, noise people just a bad town, and they could be moving somewhere with a mall and better jobs that pay more better living conditions better houses more places to farm if needed

Fear of missing out! When you know there are better options out there it's hard to let yourself hold back and not go out there and explore and conquer! I would say the main factor for this is word of mouth and media and news. Lots of times people may hear about certain new job opportunities from peers or on tv.
