Answer: likely have different ecological niches
An ecological niche can be defined as a role or function an organism performs in the ecosystem. The organism may chose a particular season for mating, a particular habitat, food source, method to capture the prey all these activities are included under ecological niche.
According to the competitive exclusion principle two species relying upon the same ecological niche, the species more stronger and competent will be likely to get resources and chances of the survival also increases.
In the given situation, animals that are members of different species and share a habitat peacefully will be likely to belong to different ecological niches as there will be no competition for similar type of resources.
