if you were charged with and convicted for a federal crime such as transporting drugs across state lines, but knew you were innocent, what would be steps available to you to clear your name? Select all that apply.
1.) appeal to the federal circuit court to clear your name
2.) try to get the case thrown out for insufficient evidence
3.) appeal directly to Supreme Court
5.) appeal to the supreme court if the circuit court upholds your conviction
6.) know that you are guaranteed a hearing by the highest law in the land

Respuesta :

You can do number 2 and 5, but 5 being with the federal appeals court, since federal circuit court is usually the first court to hear your case.

I believe the answer is:

1.) appeal to the federal circuit court to clear your name

If you managed to win the case in federal circuit, the federal govenrment would held a press release regarding your innocence, which is aimed to clear your name from previous accusations.

5.) appeal to the supreme court if the circuit court upholds your conviction

If the case still cannot be resolved in the Federal Circuit, then the case could be appealed to the supreme court. The result of cases in the supreme court could lead to the adjustment in constitution.
