The types of mineral matter found in soil are: organic material, inorganic material, parent material, ... All the horizons and layers (A, B, C) make up soil profile.
The C horizon is at the bottom of soil profile. It consists of partially weathered rock. It doesn't contain much organic material and leaching doesn't occur to this point. The C horizon is the layer in soil profile that best describes parent material.
