During the 1950s, a civil rights organization won a lot of significant court cases against the segregation, and this organization is the NAACP or the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. This organization focuses on civil rights especially for those African Americans.
The NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) was founded on February 12, 1909 by a group of American multiracial activists who responded to the name "The Call".
The organization has different departments of action such as the legal department, which is dedicated to judicial cases concerning minorities, discrimination at work, government or education. The Washington D.C. is responsible for proposing laws to the United States Government, and the Department of Education of the same to improve public education at the local, state and federal levels.
