How were economic and political nationalism in Latin America related?
The correct answer is D. Both developed from a growing wish to end foreign dependence.
Latin America was very dependent economically from other countries, such as the US and Europe. When the Great Depression came in 1929, it brought poverty and chaos, this sparked the need from Latin American countries to want to become economically independent from foreign countries. To do so they needed to become proud of their own countries. This later developed strong nationalism which led to strong authoritarian governments.
