This is shown by him saying "stop putting on frills" and "I'll lay for you, my smarty."

He does believe Huck can do it, he says so at the beginning so it is not B.  He does not like religion either.  He says "First you know you'll get religion, too."  so it's not D.  There is nothing in the passage that talks about a better life or any kind of comparison of their lives so it is not A.  So it must be C.
