The answer is refraction.  

Absorption is when no light is reflected back, diffraction is where light bends around a corner, reflection is like taking and shining a flashlight against a mirror, and refraction is like when you put a straw in water and it looks like the straw is not straight.  Same principle with light, it bends in water.
