Refrigerator and air conditioning system have refrigerants known to cause ozone layer depletion thereby climate change. In history, Chlorofluorocarbon or CFC and hydrochlorofluorocarbons HFCF are used as a refrigerant which is known to have a role in ozone depletion. The inefficient appliances will also incur high electricity usage. High electricity is to equal high coal or diesel consumption thus high carbon footprint.
