An operating system is a system software that a computer uses to provide common services for computer programs, and it also manages the computer’s hardware and software. Examples of operating systems include Apple’s operating system, Windows, and Linux.
An operating system has many components inside of them, including the three mentioned in the question: process, memory, and file management. Another component that an operating system will have is (D) input/output (I/O) system management.
