Button Gwinnett is most likely to be remembered by the fatal wound in May 16,1777,also his signature of the Declaration of Independence.

Hello!

Button Gwinnett was a British signer of the American Declaration of Independence. Also, during his stay in the United States he was gobernor of Georgia and was killed in a duel by his rival, Lachlan McIntosh.

Moreover, he is remembered by collectors because of the rarity of his signature which is sought by those collectors who want to acquire the complete set of signs of the 56 signers of the US Declaration of Independence.

I hope this helps
