Can someone please explain this. I need a correct explanation on how to solve it.

6>7-x and 2+0.5x<3

For the first one, 6>7-x
Step 1: 6-7>-x
Step 2: -1>-x
Step 3: 1>x, so x is less than 1

For the second one, 2+0.5x<3
Step 1: 0.5x<3-2
Step 2: 0.5x<1
Step 3: x<1/0.5
Step 4: x<2, so x is less than 2
