Since there are 4 elephants, they would eat 2 1/2 tons multiplied by 4 each week.

So. Change 2 1/2 to an improper fraction.  5/2

Then multiply 5/2 by 4/1.

20/2

Then simplify.

10 tons a week is your answer.
4 times 2 1/2 tons is 10 tons per week!
