The Native American got removed from the Southeast in the 1830 to make westward expansion for the Americans easier. The removal was done by the U. S. Government at that time.
The Indian Removal Act was an act that enabled the forced removal of Native American tribes from their lands on the west of the Mississipi River. This act has the ppurpose to make westward expansion easier for Americans.
It was approved and enforced by President Andrew Jackson in 1830. Once the act was in place, he did a lot to move the tribes to their newly assigned lands. Many of the natives resisted, but most ended in no avail. By the 1840, only The Seminoles tribe was still resisting. The rest were moved with some of their members died.
