World War II has turned the United States into a global powerhouse and a highly industrialized nation, and also brought forward technological advancements, and scientific discoveries. In another word, world war II brought prosperity to the United States.

With a huge demand for domestic and export production in the manufacturing industries as well as labor requirement, millions of men and women entered the service and unemployment practically declined to its lowest level. While most of Europe and Asia were practically devastated by the effects of world war II, the United States was rather untouched, with the exception of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii which was attacked by the Japanese. The attack on Pearl Harbor forced the the United States to enter the world war II against Japan in the Pacific and ultimately bringing the development of the atomic bomb and dropping them on the Japanese city of Hiroshima & Nagasaki, eventually leading to the surrender of Japan.
