Mass of object 1 at one end = 20 kg

Mass of object 2 at the other end = 8 kg

The total length of a stick = 70 cm  

The mass of the stick is negligible

As we know that x =  m₁x₁+m₂x2/m₁ + m₂  

x = 20(0) + 8(70)/20 + 8  

As the first object is at the start so distance is equal to 0

x = 20 cm

Point B is the point from which the stick remains horizontal when suspended from the cord.
