The term "renaissance" was coined in the 19th Century and is considered more of a development of modern science rather than art and culture. Due to the disputed time of when the arts consciously moved forward and the period's characterization of a scientific progression, it seems to be uncertain and controversial as to what it truly can be defined as. 

The "Renaissance" refers to the a period in Europe which marks the transition to modern world and civilization and this period is believed to start around the 15th century.

  • During the period, the culture, style of art & architecture in Europe developed at high rate.

  • During this period, art and artistic structures are the mode through which ideas were spread and developed.

  • Art made were intended to capture the experience of people and show the beauty, mystery and uniqueness of the natural world.

In conclusion, there is no uncertainty and controversy about the existence of the Renaissance period because the period impacted greatly on modernization of Europe.
