The media has strong impacts on most anything in our lives in this day and age, including marriage. The media can impact our values about marriage by showing us these "picture perfect" celebrity marriages and weddings. Real life is not always that black and white, and you may have false expectations. It can also report on these short uneventful marriages ending in divorce way too soon. Giving us this image that marriage isn't supposed to last forever and no one's relationship has hope at ever lasting love.
