The area of the parallelogram = base x height ......(1)
Take the base as 280 ft. Draw an altitude on the base which is your height. In the triangle formed your third side
is the one with 250ft, your hypotenuse. You can find the height by using Pythagoras Theorem,
(250)*2 = (h)*2 + (280)*
solve for 'h' and substitute in (1) and voila you have the area of the parallelogram.
