Honestly, I don't think there is anything moral or good that Huck inherited from his father. Pap was a drunkard and a thief, and he wanted to rob his own son off his reward money. He beat his son regularly, and practically abducted him so as to prevent him from getting any education and love in his life. The only thing that rubbed off on Huck is Pap's racism, as Huck is relatively racist in the beginning of the novel, whereas that changes towards the end. Jim, the black man who spends the most of the novel with Huck, is the person who behaves the way a true father would and protects Huck against many evils.
