in the diagram below of ADE, B is a point on AE and C is a point on AD such that BC is parallel to ED. AC= x-3, BE=20, AB=16 and AD= 2x+2. Find the length of AC

YOu can solve this through ratio and proportion.

16 / (16 + 20) = (x - 3) / (2x + 2)
x = 35

length AC = x - 3
AC = X - 3 = 35 - 3
AC = 32
