A multifactorial disorder is a medical condition which is characterized by many factors influencing the symptoms of the disease which are seen or observed by the individual.
This disorder occurs when more than one factors influence the diseased condition. It may be as a result of the combination of genetic and environmental factors.
An example of multifactorial disorder are birth defects, high blood pressure etc and the individual with the genetic propensity for that disease will get it as a result of it also being influenced by the genes.
The genes are usually passed from the parent to offspring during reproduction which is therefore the reason why the individual will most likely get the disease and is therefore the most appropriate choice.
