In a isometry the distances between points are conserved, so the image of segment PQ has to have the same length as segment PQ.

When we have a translation defined by a vector the x-coordinate of the vector tells the horizontal translation and the y-coordinate the vertical translation.

For this problem, if the vector is <3, 5>, we have to translate each point 3 units to the right and 5 units up.
