The great compromise addressed the representation in the u.s legislator. Large states believed they should have greater representation because of their larger population and smaller states wanted all states to be represented equally because they did not want to over power in congress.
The Great Compromise created the Senate and the House of Representatives for the United States government. Since smaller. Less populated states wanted equal say, each state has 2 representatives and 2 votes in the Senate. In the House, states representatives and votes are based on a state's population in order to please the larger, more populated states.
