the dress store is having a sale where all merchandise is 1/4 off. A women buys $24 of merchandise at the sale price. what would she have had to pay at the regular price?
I worked this problem out by dividing 24 by 3 since 1/4 of the price has been taken off and 4/4 makes up a whole. When I got $8, I added that onto $24 and got $32.
