The ability for businesses to look for innovative, inexpensive methods to produce superior products. For instance, Andrew Carnegie started making steel and acquired other businesses to have the maximum control and maximize his profits. He was well-known as a model in the 19th century and made money in addition to giving to charity.
Companies started to compete with one another as a result. Rich people are referred to be robber barons when they use dishonest or improper means to increase the value of their businesses or real estate. Prices were rising faster than previously, and businesses started to cut worker pay. With the notion of riches social Darwinism taking hold, many began to hold the view that prosperity was a sign of favor from God and that poverty was a sign of disfavor. I think the wealthy individual valued the concept of social. Darwinism as a result of governance they wouldn't question God's laws and they would think they are better than the poor.
