Galileo has accomplished many things for modern science that helps us out today. One of them being that he discovered that Venus has phases. Another accomplishment that he did for us is he discovered that Jupiter has moons. In conclusion, Galileo has helped us out a tremendous amount in modern day by his accomplishments.
