We have given two mixed fraction [tex]25\frac{1}{2}[/tex] and [tex]5\frac{3}{10}[/tex] .

On simplifying , mixed fraction we get

    [tex]25\frac{1}{2}=\frac{25\times2+1}{2} \\\\\25\frac{1}{2}=\frac{51}{2}[/tex]              

and   [tex]5\frac{3}{10}=\frac{5\times 10+3}{10} \\\\[/tex]

         [tex]5\frac{3}{10}=\frac{53}{10}[/tex]

We are asked to divide [tex]\frac{51}{2}[/tex] by [tex]\frac{53}{10}[/tex] in order to get the mass of the hippo.

On dividing , we get

       [tex]\frac{\frac{51}{2} }{\frac{53}{10} } =\frac{51}{2} \times\frac{10}{53} \\\\=\frac{510}{106} \\\\=4.81[/tex]
