Mary Musgrove stands for in Georgia colony to maintain peaceful relations between the states.
Musgrove carried on serving as General Oglethorpe's interpreter. She aided in preserving harmonious and just trading ties between the Creek Nation and the newly established Georgia Colony. She was in Yamacraw Bluff when she was able to make peace between the Savannah settlers and the Yamacraw Chief, Tomochichi.
A month or so after the colonists arrived, Tomochichi traveled to Savannah to see Oglethorpe. The Yamacraw Indians' chief and a significant character in the early history of Georgia was Tomochichi. He helped to foster friendly ties between the Creek (Muscogee) natives and British colonists by serving as a key mediator between them.
He and Oglethorpe drafted a deal allowing Oglethorpe to found the City of Savannah and Tomochichi to profit from trade with the Spanish through the work of interpreter Mary Musgrove.
