This is the term that is used to refer to the people that believed that the United States should have a stronger central government. That is a type of government where the federal government would be the one at the helm of affairs and would have all of the rights that would enable them to make the laws that would help them to lead the whole country.

This issue came into play because it was discovered that in the face of issues the federal government did not have all of the powers and the resources that would be useful in combatting the issues.
