Nurses maintain their skills by participating in CNO's Quality Assurance (QA) Program, for which they are held professionally accountable.
Participating in the QA Program encourages nurses to reflect on their practice, set goals, and create Learning Plans, all of which promote and foster lifelong learning. A QA program assures laboratory management and project investigators that documented quality standards for facilities, equipment, personnel training, and work performance are being met, and if not, identifies and reports the areas that need improvement to meet those standards.
