Answer:

question 1

Except for few monarchs in Asia and Africa, most present-day monarchs only have symbolic power. They are rather symbols of their nations, icons of national unity and identity (Spain, Britain, Sweden, the Netherlands), or special representatives of historical continuity (Japan). Real power often lies in parliaments or prime ministers in those countries.

question 2

Dictatorship involves the rule of a nation disregarding the rules put in place and other peoples opinions on how the state should be run to fulfil a common cause. In a democratic government there is free expression thoughts and the laws and rules put in place are adhered to.this ensures that the nation progresses in the direction envisioned by the people collectively. dictatorship decisions are thus most likely wrong because they are made inconsiderate of the pleas of the citizens.

question 3

First, a parliamentary democracy is less likely to encounter gridlock than a presidential democracy is. In a parliamentary system, there cannot be a situation in which the chief executive is from one party while the legislature is (in whole or in part) controlled by a different party. This makes the parliamentary system more efficient.

question 4

1) unitary government; 2) federal government; and 3) confederation

question 5

c. The National Government

question 6

Democracy is the best type of government.

Democracy means “for the people, of the people and by the people”. Citizens choose their own government, allowing them to participate equally in the development of laws of the country. So, it is more accountable type of government.

In dictatorship kind of government, there is rule of a single person leading to have power over small number of people and citizens have no say. Monarchy is a type of government which is led by kings and queens. Only the monarch has unlimited power in this case. Confederation is a sort of government in which a central government is given power for specific purposes by sovereign states.
