Personal information:
Napoleon was born on August 15, 1769 in Ajaccio on the Mediterranean island of Corsica. His mom was Letizia Bonaparte and his dad was Carlo Bonaparte. When he was a kid he attended school in mainland France. He learned French there. He graduated from a military French academy in 1785. He married Josephine de Beauharnais, which he later divorced her because she did not have babies with him. So, a little while after he wed Marie Louise who was the daughter of the emperor of Austria. The year after, she gave birth to their son who was then named Napoleon François Joseph Charles Bonaparte.
Achievements:
- won the battle of 13 Vendémiaire
- he established the Bank of France
- conquered all of continental Europe which would eventually lead to Spanish colonies breaking away from spain
- created a national education system
- was able to crown himself emperor of France

Bonaparte used his life to lead others to victory. He assembled his army before the great battle. Even though he was a lot shorter than most of them, he still stood up in front of his troops and spoke of glory and heroism. The Austrians defended the gate with their lives thinking of Bonaparte’s great words. He and his army won because of this.
