  • Symbols - Every culture is full of symbols, or items that represent something else and frequently arouse different feelings and reactions.
  • Language – Language shapes how people conceptualize ideas and things and promotes effective social interaction.
  • Norms- Standards, and expectations for behavior, or norms, vary greatly among cultures.
  • Rituals - Different cultures have a variety of rituals, or established practices and ceremonies, which frequently denote turning points in a person's life.
  • Values: Judgments of what is right or wrong and desirable or unpleasant are included in values, which are another crucial component of culture.
  • Artifacts- The artifacts, or tangible objects, that make up a society's material culture are the final component of culture. The majority of artifacts in the simplest societies consist of a few simple tools, the huts that people live in, and their clothing.

What is culture?

Cultures are made up of people who have similar values and worldviews. Languages, holidays, customs, sports, cuisine, and architectural styles are just a few examples of the cultural components they might share. The cultures of the West, youth, counterculture and high culture are a few examples.
