When doing conversion from molarity to molality/mole fraction/mass percent/ volume percent, we tend to assume mass (or volume of solution). Why is this allowed?

Respuesta :

The mass is only one quantity which is present in all of them .

What is relationship between mass  and Molarity/ molality/ mole fraction/mass percentage/volume percentage?

1) The relationship between the mass and Molarity is

Molarity is directly proportional to the mass of solute.

2) Relation between Molality and mass is they both are directly proportional to each other.

3) Mole fraction is all about mass and and molar mass

Xa=Na /Nb+Na

where Na is the no of moles of A and Nb is no of moles of B .

4) The ratio of the mass of solute that is present in  a solution, relative to the volume of the solution as  a whole.

From above statement we can see that mass is common in very formula ,so that is why we tend assume the Mass.
