How is contemporary art global in its scope, and how are artists creating work that reflects on the interconnectedness and globalism of the world today

Respuesta :

Unlike earlier times art today is globalism in its scope. The zone is not limited to fixed areas but with the help of a plethora of digital media, art gets its recognition among a large number of people. In earlier times art was accessible only to a few people and judged by even less. But today art is judged and acknowledged by many people who can get to see the art.

With the advent of electronic and digital media, the market for commercial and fine art has changed drastically. From the transactions to the spread of the art that had changed its pattern reflects the globalism of the world today. It makes the artists self-dependent economically and recognized globally.

Globalism refers to the meaning of different patterns beyond simply international. Political scientists such as Joseph Nye use it to "describe attempts to make sense of all the connections in the modern world and highlight the patterns that underlie (and explain) them." [1] Primarily related to world systems, but can be used to describe other global trends.

The concept of globalism is also classically used to distinguish between the ideology of globalization (subjective meaning) and the process of globalization (objective practice) [2]. In this sense, globalism against globalization is the same as nationalism against nationalism. The term is now often used in a derogatory sense by far-right movements and conspiracy theorists. Also associated with anti-Semitism.
