Destruction of an appetite-suppressing area within the hypothalamus of a rat is most likely to cause the rat to become extremely fat. When the weight of an organism falls below its set point the organism is likely to experience the increase in hunger and decrease in the metabolic rate.

Ghrelin has numerous function , the hunger hormones because it stimulates appetite , increase food intake and promotes  fat storage.  And the hormone hypothalamus govern the psychological functions of brain such as temperate regulation, thirst, hunger , sleep , mood and release other hormones with in the body of an organism.
