Reading Assignment
This week's reading assignment will focus on revision, particularly
"global" revision strategies that lead to substantial changes to a
piece of writing. Emphasis will be on conducting additional
research, refining your argument, acknowledging
counterarguments, reorganizing your ideas, and reconsidering the
needs of your audience.

Reading Questions
1. What is the difference between revising and editing?
2. On page 272 at the beginning of Ch. 42, the word "hysteria"
appears. Take a moment to research this word and then
indicate why you think it is used in this context. Why do you
think Atwood made that choice?
3. Reflect on the "Historical Notes" at the end of the book.
What stands out to you most and why? How does this add to
the overall text?
