The subject of the autobiography of Malcolm X is the young Malcolm X.
The first chapter of this autobiography introduces us to family of Malcolm X. We get to read about his family. It talked about his father, his mother, the areas they lived and the way the whites disturbed them till they killed his father.
He was a convict that had gone to jail for theft. During the time in Jail he educated himself and became one of the followers of Elijah Muhammad and a Muslim.
