The ideological framework of the federalists was that there should be a central governing body that controlled the affairs of the whole nation. The anti federalists were of the opinion that the powers should be concentrated in the hands of the various states.

The federalists were the people that wanted the type of government that had the president and other members of the federal system at the helm of affairs.

What type of government did anti federalists want?

They wanted the type of government were the states would have the power to govern themselves as they wanted. They feared that the federal system could create a dictatorship.
