Thus;

36a + 6b = 126    ------(2)

Multiply eq 1 by 2 to get;

18a + 6b = 18    ------(3)

Subtract eq 3 from eq 2 to get;

18a = 108

a = 6

18(6) + 6b = 18

6b = 18 - 108

6b = -90

b = -90/6

b = -15
