What we need to know ?

Area of a triangle is :

[tex]\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \: \dfrac{1}{2} \sdot(base) \sdot(height)[/tex]

it's given that ;

  • base = 10 m

  • height = 16 cm

[tex]\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \: \dfrac{1}{2} \sdot(10) \sdot(16)[/tex]

[tex]\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \: 5 \sdot16[/tex]

[tex]\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \: 80 \: \: m {}^{2} [/tex]

Therefore, the area of triangle is 80

Area

Calculate the area of this figure:

Solution:

  • A = ½ BH meaning Base and Height
  • A = ½ Base = 10m Height = 16m
  • A = ½ x 16m(H) x 10m(B)
  • A = ½ x 160
  • A = ½ x 160
  • A = 160 x 1 = 160 ÷ 2
  • A = 80m²

- So the Area of this Figure is 80m².
